History:
Blairgowrie Vets has been committed to providing the best GP care for local animals - pets and livestock alike - for over a century.
The practice was first established over 100 years ago by Mr. William Nairn. Initially the practice was based in Coupar Angus, but later moved into Blairgowrie and operated for many years from Heathpark House which was the private dwelling of Mr Grant Gordon. Mr Allan D. Campbell joined the practice as a partner in the business & Mr. L. Traub was an assistant. At that time the practice was a traditional rural farm & equine practice (mainly working horses) with only a little small animal/pet interest. In 1979, when Mr. Gordon & Mr. Traub retired, the practice moved to its present location at Castle Street and Gillian Clark joined Allan Campbell as assistant, becoming a partner in 1981. While still remaining a mixed practice the small animal side was soon expanded. After Allan Campbell retired in 1989, Elizabeth Cameron joined Gillian and soon became a partner and helped to develop the practice further.
